Hi, I'm Darryl Hobbs.
I'm the photographer behind Dragonmatrix Productions, based in Aberdeen, Maryland. I've been taking photographs all my life, learning how to recognize the expressions, details, and split-second moments that turn a picture into a story.

WHY DRAGONMATRIX
A story worth a thousand words.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was only 13 when my photography was first published in the Winston-Salem Journal with photo credit—an early experience that reinforced the importance of being ready, observant, and honest with every frame.
I'm also a retired Army National Guard soldier, a disabled veteran, and a veteran of two combat tours. That service shaped the patience, discipline, adaptability, and respect I bring to every client and every assignment.
Great photography is more than a technically perfect picture. It is the tilt of a pet's head, the confidence of stepping fully into a character, the energy of a live crowd, or the detail that makes a local brand memorable.
My sessions are collaborative and comfortable. We plan what matters before the camera comes out, make room for natural moments during the shoot, and finish every selected image with careful, professional editing.
